“Sean Turner Group from Manchester & Edinburgh - July 2010 - I can't possibly recommend this place highly enough - we go away biking every year and this has been the best set-up yet. Darren and Tracy have a superb set-up here and were perfect hosts to our group of nine hairy arsed mountain bikers. They really do go out of their way to make sure you have a good trip. The Chalet is comfortable, clean and well-equipped, with great food and only a short wander into the village to the nearest bar. Darren is as much into his biking as we all are and as a result he knows where to go, has the place set-up for bike cleaning/maintenance and was happy to come out and show us around the trails at whatever level of biking we fancied. We liked the place so much we are going to come back and give it a go in the winter for a skiing/boarding holiday. My only worry with putting a glowing reference on here is that when we come to book again they will be full. Thanks again to you both

“Barry and Joss Lewis Family from Dubai - Christmas 2009 - When we as a family of six decided to go on our first ski holiday with friends, we wanted it to be organized from A to Z and that is exactly what we got when we booked our Alpinebreaks holiday with Darren and Tracy. They provided a wonderful place for us to stay, delicious meals and made sure we all got to our various ski lessons on time, all we had to do was have fun! The highlight after a day’s skiing was undoubtably the hot tub! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back again to enjoy the hospitality of Darren and Tracy at Chalet Lac de Vonnes. “Mike, Amanda, Christopher and Stephen John Family - August 2009 - Thanks for a Fab Holiday, we had been struggling to find holidays that would keep our two teenage sons occupied. We have taken them as far as Sydney & Brisbane (bodyboarding & surfing) but they announced after the first day in Chatel that this was the best holiday that they had ever had ! Thanks to Darren for a fabulous day guiding us on the mountain & thanks to Tracy for making us so welcome in a fabulous chalet. Darren is now a legend in our househould (even though he had a small "off" and got slightly injured) I can thoroughly reccommend this as a "Family Holiday"

Feb 2010 - I just wanted to say a big thank you to you, Rich and Becks for another lovely week's holiday. We all had a great time and it was good to catch up with all of you. The flambee and the slalom were absolutely superb.

If you asked me to suggest a few things that could have made our stay even better, I wouldn’t be able to think of a single thing… you’ve got the perfect host/location/entertainment thing utterly covered!! Please pass on our regards to Anthony & Siobhan, who also did a first class job… although I do have one complaint - despite all the energy I expelled on the slopes, I managed to come home 3lbs heavier, thanks to all their scrumptious food!! :-( Thank you for giving us our best skiing holiday to date… I’ll be sure to recommend you to everyone!!

“Bris Lightowler” February 2009 - From the moment I booked my holiday with our hosts, Darren & Tracy, I knew that I had made the right choice: All correspondence was quick, informative and hassle free. Our transfer to the airport by private organised minibus took no more than 90 minutes. On arrival at our Chalet we were met by our charming hosts. Our rooms were spacious and very comfortable, the roaring fire and drink very welcoming. The first evening meal did not disappoint and this set the standard for the rest of the week – the standard did not slip and the varied menu was just perfect - as was the unrestricted amount of wine served with each meal, although my waistline did suffer as a result! The fact that the ski area was large was certainly one of the attractions in booking this holiday; however they can be quite daunting given the amount of kilometres covered. This is where Darren & Tracy proved that they are not only terrific hosts in the chalet but also on the slopes. Each and every day they took us to the slopes and collected us when we were ready. Better still, one or the other (and sometimes both) skied with us. Showing us where to ski and giving clear, sound advice as to which slopes were best suited to our abilities; often proving they knew our abilities better than us! – They even highlighted which restaurants offered the best value for money drinks and food. This was an excellent differentiator from previous skiing holidays and certainly one that will cause me not to hesitate to looking to book with Alpine Breaks again in the very near future.

“Roger Wyborn & his Family” January 2009 - We have all returned to our various mundane lives and are missing the Chatel slopes already! Despite a mixed bag of weather conditions, we all had a wonderful week, due to a great extent to your help, organisation and hospitality. Your chalet certainly gave us a "home from home" experience, which was particularly important with two young children onboard. They loved the atmosphere - as did we all.

The chalet was beautifully situated , skiing just blew me away, but most of all was the wonderful people I met. You all succeeded in making us feel welcome, informed, well-fed and generally looked after like royalty. We couldn't have picked a better place than Chatel, it has just about everything you could wish for, without losing any of its picturesque charm, it really is a grown-ups playground!

The routes are well marked and cater for all abilities. Darren and Tracey made our stay all the more enjoyable for their hospitality and taking us out on our first day to guide us around the mountains and suggestions of bike routes for us to take. The views are breathtaking. Whether you like extreme sports, biking, walking or just relaxing by the beautiful mountain lakes - this resort has got it all. Enjoy!!
